Latin Notion takes its festival to Istanbul from 18 to 23 November 2026, all at The Green Park Pendik Hotel & Convention Center. The week includes a 100% bachata room, 50+ hours of workshops with 50+ international and national artists, a Jack & Jill and bachata battles, boat and pool parties, and six nights of parties. A concert by Shama with Dimelo Cupido & Chris Paradise is announced.
La Luz Dance Festival Istanbul 2027 runs from 29 January to 1 February 2027 at the Hilton Kozyatağı, with bachata, kizomba and zouk workshops, performances and nightly social dancing with international DJs. Packages include three nights at the Hilton, and full pass and party pass options are available. Artists listed include Marco Espejo, Leandro y Jomante, Roger Cracco, Flori Bachata, Sakis & Mia, Cristian y Gabriella and Xi & Alina.
Istanbul World Dance Congress 2027 runs 17–23 March 2027 at the Pullman Istanbul Hotel & Convention Center, with salsa, bachata and kizomba workshops and master classes, competitions, choreo bootcamps and shows. A live bachata concert by Charles Luis, Shama and Dimelo Cupido and a live salsa concert by La Maxima are announced. Bachata artists include Marco & Sara, Melvin & Gatica, Gero & Migle, Daniel Sanchez, Luis & Andrea, Antoni & Belen, Aitor & Angelica and Burak & Estefania.

Socials typically kick off with open workshops at 20:00–21:00. Floor reaches full capacity between 22:30 and 01:30.

In Istanbul, the salsa scene features a vibrant blend of All Styles. Most weekly socials play 60% Salsa and 40% Bachata, with dedicated rooms or sets for classic Mambo On2 and Cuban Timba.
No partner is required. Group classes in Istanbul operate on mandatory partner rotation so every dancer practices with multiple partners. At social dances, it is standard etiquette for leads and follows of all skill levels to ask each other for a dance.
Most salsa socials open with an introductory beginner lesson around 20:00–21:00, followed by open social dancing. Peak dance floor energy usually runs from 22:30 until 02:00, with European clubs often continuing until 04:00 or later.
Smart casual is standard. Beginners can wear comfortable sneakers or flat shoes with low-traction soles that allow easy turning on hardwood floors. Regular dancers use suede or leather-soled Latin dance shoes. Breathable fabrics are strongly recommended.
